Monet and the Impressionists, Immersive Experience is the new immersive exhibition that will open its doors on September 14, 2024 and will be open until January 31, 2025 (monday closed).
This immersive exhibition, which also includes an original experience through Oculus VR, will offer visitors an unforgettable journey into the wonderful universe of Claude Monet, the French Impressionists and the whole of 19th-century France, its revolutions and atmospheres. Immersive technology will allow visitors to relive Impressionist art in a new and engaging way, immersing them in poetic atmospheres and vibrant colors.
Monet and the Impressionists, Immersive Experience is an exhibition conceived by the Pietro Barbaro Foundation specifically for Palazzo Trinacria and to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Impressionist movement, designing for visitors an unprecedented sensorial and multimedia experience in Sicily. For four months, the spaces and surfaces of Palazzo Trinacria will come to life, literally diving into the past, into Monet's paintings, into the Paris of the Belle Époque, offering visitors a 360° vision of an era that revolutionized our history and our way of perceiving the reality that surrounds us, revealing the essence and intrinsic beauty of the works of impressionism, its lights and its most intimate sensations. Monet and the Impressionists, Immersive Experience is the second artistic and immersive initiative produced by the Pietro Barbaro Foundation for Palazzo Trinacria and for the Trinacria Immersive Art Space, the operational headquarters of the Foundation and, to date, the first and only permanent immersive room in Palermo and Sicily.
