On July 21, 2021, just a few days before the commemoration of the massacre on Via D’Amelio, the Pietro Barbaro Foundation chose to endorse the theatrical initiative “Canto per Francesca” by the Palermo-based playwright and author Cetta Brancato.
A dramatic reading, in memory and celebration of the figure of Francesca Morvillo, in stark contrast to any form of mafia culture. The song, entirely crafted by Cetta Brancato, directed by Antonio Raffaele Addamo, was performed by the actress Viviana Lombardo, accompanied by the cello played by Daniela Santamaura.
