Contemporary art meets the architectural works of Palermo with the intention of uniting places and people, looking towards the future. “Connessioni” (Connections) is the title of the exhibition that will be produced by the Pietro Barbaro Foundation in 2024. The solo exhibition by artist Simone Lingua was previewed and inaugurated in the summer of 2023 at Palazzo Drago Airoldi and is poised for a radically new and site-specific reinterpretation at Palazzo Trinacria. “Connessioni” is curated by Tiziana Tommei, promoted by Domus Art Gallery Athens, and sponsored by the Municipality of Palermo. It will be realized thanks to the contribution of the Pietro Barbaro Foundation. The exhibition will consist of two interconnected parts: on the one hand, the first act of a broader project linked to the city of Palermo, and on the other, a series of kinetic works and site-specific installations.
